Daily Announcements for Davidson 11/19/19
 

  • There are no birthdays today.

 

  • Tutoring has been cancelled for today.  If you were planning on attending, please come to the office to make sure you have a ride home.

 

  • We are collecting non-perishable food items and bring them to your 6th hour teacher!  The 6th hour from each grade that collects the most points will win hot chocolate and cookies!  All money and items are donated to the Christ the King food bank, which supports local families.  Some 5 point items are: Peanut Butter, Jelly, Large Cereal Boxes, Juice, and Spaghetti Sauce.

 

  • Attention 8th grade French and Spanish students: There's an informational meeting for the summer Europe trip of 2021 Tonight, November 19th at 6pm in Mrs. Kroll's room. Please see Mrs. Kroll for additional information or the link to the trip website.

 

  • The 7th Grade Basketball Team improved to 3 and 0 by beating Taylor West 40-18.  The Titans were lead by Maliek Crumbey with 17 points, Juan Llanes, with 6 points, Jayden Zoellner with 3 points, Nick Rogowski with 4 points, Jaxon Tsouris, Hunter Druchniak, Larry Turner, Joshua Kennedy, Connor Taurence, and Logan Tomocik all had 2 points.  Elliot Cummings and Ty Murphy had 3 assists each. DaShaun Thompson and Thomas Laskowski had 3 steals. The Titans return home tomorrow to face the Seahawks of Shumate!

 

  • Your 8th grade hoops squad traveled to Taylor West last night looking to extend their hot start to the season.  An upstart West squad was not a problem; as the Titans took the lead in the first quarter and never looked back.  The Titans look to continue their winning ways as they welcome the Seahawks of Gibraltar Shumate to Davidson on Wednesday.  Go Titans!

 

  • Last call for all cookie orders to Room 32 Mrs. Schuck.  If you still have your orders and money, please bring them to her right now.

  • There is tutoring today in the Media Center from 2:50-3:50 - Please come, it’s free, all you need to do is bring your work.

  • Happy Birthday to Abdulkarem Herab, Mason Mayhew, and Taylor McKinney!

  • The 7th grade basketball team improved to 2 and 0 on the season by beating Lincoln Park 36-24.  The Titans were lead by Maliek Crumbey with 25 points. Jaxon Tsouris and Hunter Druchniak each had 4 points, Joshua Kennedy added 2, and Juan Llanes had 1.  Ty Murphy had his best game running point guard. Tommy Laskowski and Connor Taurence played outstanding on defense. The Titans travel to West in Taylor on Monday - Good Luck Titans!

 

  • Your 8th grade hoops squad traveled to Lincoln Park last night in a battle of Downriver foes.  After a back and forth affair in the first half, the Titans were able to build a comfortable double digit lead after the break and leave LP victorious.  Another all around, solid outing by your 8th grade Titans. Next up, the Titans head to Taylor West this Monday for another league showdown. Go Titans!

  • Happy Birthday to Christian Smith, Dalyla Martin, and Alejandro Molina!

  •  The Student Council meeting from yesterday has been rescheduled for tomorrow morning at 7:15.  Please don’t be late if you are attending.

 

  • The 7th grade basketball team came back from a 20 point deficit on Monday, to beat Wyandotte 40-38.  With the score tied at 38, Titan point guard Maliek Crumbey drove and passed to teammate Logan Tomocik for the winning basket.  The Titans were led by Maliek Crumbey with 7 points, Hunter Druchniak, Juan Llanes, and Logan Tomocik with 6 points, Larry Turner with 5 points, Jayden Zoellner and Nick Rogowski each had 2 points.  The Titans travel to Lincoln Park to face the intense Rails - GO TITANS!!

 

  • Your 8th grade basketball team made a statement with a 54-34 opening night victory over the visiting Warriors from Wyandotte Wilson.  The Titans took the floor firing on all cylinders with contributions from every member of the squad. Tonight, your 8th grade squad will head to Lincoln Park build off their opening night victory.  Go Titans!
