  • The 7th Grade girls’ volleyball team played two great games this week against Trenton and Wyandotte.  The girls fell a little short against Trenton on Monday; however, they played extremely well. Yesterday, against Trenton the Titans lost the first game, but won the second.  Therefore, the match came down to a very exciting third and deciding game. The game was back and forth, and the Titans came up short in the end by a score of 25-22. On a positive note, the girls played their absolute best game of the year and are improving tremendously!

As a team yesterday, The Lady Titans served successfully over 70%.  They also had 9 three-touch volleys during the match. These are both season highs and signs of improvement in numerous parts of their game.  Keep up the hard work girls! On Monday, the Titans will at home against Shumate and will be looking to avenge a loss from earlier this season.  Go Titans!!!

  • Unfortunately the 8th grade volleyball team lost to matches in a row, one to Trenton and the other to Wyandotte.  Our team record is 3 wins and 4 losses. Shout out to Destiny Oskarik had an amazing match once again. Her hustle and determination was noticed by everyone in the gym.  Karen Sanchez did a great job serving, Abby Bumgardner had some amazing passes and sets. Ava Banner and Josephine Hernandez did a great job with the rotation, and Ariana Vasquez played an outstanding middle yesterday!  This weekend the 8th grade volleyball team will head to Allen Park on Saturday for the downriver league tournament. Good luck girls!
